A Dream......

Last night I had a very vivid and strange dream. Without boring you with all the details I wanted to write down and remember one special part of the dream. In the dream, there was a part that I was frantic and running. Then out of nowhere my grandma appears walking towards me and she was very calm. It startled me and I couldn't figure if she was real or not. In my dream, I knew she had already passed, and that's why I was confused. I called out to her to help me. She put out her hand for me to take it. I hesitated wondering if I reached out for it if she would disappear. I got closer and took her hand. It was real and it was warm. My hand fit with hers. She guided me to the place I was frantically trying to run to and she still kept calm.

(In the dream, I had my purse stolen and I was desperately trying to chase after the person to get it back.)

She told me that my purse was not there and that everything would be alright. And then, all of a sudden, she was gone.

The basis of the dream was a bit strange, like I said, and I didn't think it was necessary to tell you the whole story....But why would my grandma show up in a crazy dream like that? Maybe she was sending me a message? There is a lot going on in my life right now and maybe it was her way of telling me to keep calm. Who knows.
Dreams are amazing and scary and confusing.
I am just glad that for just a few short seconds I felt like my grandma was really there and so alive right beside hand in hers.

End of Season.......

Flag football ended it's season the first weekend of this month.
The boys did great! They enjoyed it and so did we.

Here they are with their trophies.

A first for Jakey.

Nate's first tackle season came to an end as well.

He was picked to play in the All Star's game this Saturday.
Good job Nate-Dog!

Now this MommaCat can take a break from running around to practices every week and have more free weekends.

We Did It!.......

After 3 in a half hours of paperwork and signing until I didn't recognize my own signature anymore....

We are on our way to becoming first time home owners!

Exciting, overwhelming, and a tad scary.

It should be ready in mid April.
Lots of stuff to do from now till then.
Cross your fingers & wish us luck!

Ready or not, here we go!

Heaven Sent........

The hubs and I have been looking at buying a home for a while now. We have been taking our time and making sure that when the right one came along, we would know.

We have seen MANY homes, both new and re-sale for the last few months. After a while your head gets jammed with so many different floor plans you forget which one is which.
This is a BIG decision and all new to us. I didn't want to make the wrong choice.

Naturally I have been feeling overwhelmed, confused, scared, and everything in between.

Yesterday we went to narrow down our decision from 3 homes to "THE ONE!"
Let me back up a day before.....
I was in one of the homes alone while the hubs was taking Little Miss to the potty. I was left with my mind whirling with so many questions. I was staring out the front window when all of a sudden a hummingbird zipped over to a flowering bush and caught my attention. Hmmm....Is this a sign?

You see, hummingbirds have a special meaning to me.
I feel that it is my beloved Grandma sending me these amazing beautiful creatures in times that I need comfort. I feel her watching over me.

So, again, yesterday was the second day in a row viewing the home and seriously considering it. As we were leaving to decide whether to put a deposit down I cut the hubs off from talking because I heard the chirps of  a hummingbird. Was it the one from the day before? Is it Grandma telling me that this was the home and to comfort me in our final decision?
I looked in the direction of the chirps and saw the little hummingbird perched on a branch in front of us.

The tears welled up in my eyes and I felt warmth in my chest with love and comfort.

I got closer and it did not fly away. It just looked at me. I was so glad I had my camera with me. I got even closer and started to snap a few shots. I must have been just a couple of feet away from it.

This was our home.

Thank you Grandma.

P.S. The agent helping us with the start of purchasing our first home had an interesting last name. It started with the first initial of my Grandma's first name and the rest was my Grandma's last name.
Another sign?

Our Halloween.......

Kiddos helped to scoop the guts out and Mom carved away.

Pumpkins in their place.

Decorations in the yard.

Happy kiddos after a night of trick or treating.

Earlier in the day, the boys participated in the school parade while Little Missy looked on.

Farm Day......

We had a great day, although it was hot, at the farm.
We have come here the last few years for our pumpkins & Christmas tree.

We went with our very good friends.
The kiddos enjoyed the day together.

Farm animals....
Singing & music in the barn....
Hay maze....
Corn maze....
Tractor ride....
and of course
Picking the right pumpkins to carve for Halloween.

Enjoy this long picture post :o)

Can you spot my two boys up there? (Jake doesn't look too thrilled)

Hubs, the Goat Whisperer.

Oh, how I wanted to take this little one home.
I will call it/her Mable.

Looking at the sweet pink piglet.

Yes, they are related!

Love this one of all the kiddos.

All picked and ready to go.
