Santa was here......

Christmas morning.
Waiting on the stairs to get the "green light" from mom. I needed to grab my camera first...."Come on mom, hurry up. We want to get our presents!!!"

Wowee....look at our loot!

Looks like you were good little boys and girl this year.

(i got a new wallet)

After looking at our new treasures, going through stockings and eating candy for breakfast, we got ready and drove off to my family's for Christmas dinner.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good nite!

Christmas Eve.......

This year, Jess and I decided that our Christmas Eve should be spent at home with the kids and start some memory making. In the years past, we have been spending the "eve's" with my side of the family and the "day" with Jess' side. There was a lot of driving involved, late nights and sometimes sleep overs. By the time we arrive home late Christmas day, that's when "Santa" presents and stockings were opened. So now by staying home on the Eve, we can have a traditional Christmas morning with our kids while the magic is still alive.
We started off our day with making gingerbread men,
(thanks Aunt Elizabeth & Uncle Wade)

Even dad got involved

We had Jess' parents and our good friends over for dinner. Thanks to the parents for our "roast beast". I made sage and cheddar mashed potato's, cranberry-apple-bacon salad, and homemade mac n cheese. Mmmm good!

Time for presents!
One tradition we do is recieve a pair of new pj's.
There were lots of great gifts from everyone and Kady had a blast.
Throughout the day, she kept chanting, "It's Christmas time, it's Christmas time!"

Everyone love "Uncle" Brent who came for a visit from Idaho
It was a wonderful day with great food, gifts and company.

Part of my snowman collection

This wreath was made by my gramps years ago using pine cones from his yard and the snowman made by my grams

I bought this cute penguin because the way he stands reminds me of my Jakey

Girls just wanna have fun......

Kadance made friends with her cousin Lizzy at a family party. We don't get to see them as often, but the girls hit it off! They held hands and played so cute together.

Oh December....

I still can't get over the fact that it's December. It is always a busy time of year for me and the most exciting for the kiddos. From house decorating, Christmas tree shopping, to gift shopping, car rides around neighborhoods to look at lights, Christmas shows on TV, cookie baking, family parties....the list goes on!

I love that ALL my kids still believe in the magic of Santa

Jake wasn't too sure about him......

Kady either!

Close ups of my cutie pies

A vary large, very pretty, and lovely smelling tree!

The month is not over yet, and there are still lots of other things to do.
