Six Flags Discovery Kingdom....

We finally took the kids to Six Flags after Nate and Logan earned a free ticket each from a reading program at school. We got there around noon and didn't leave until almost 10pm! There was a LOT of walking involved, but the kids were real troopers. We saw a dolphin show, a sea lion show and tiger show. Kady was such a good girl in her stroller for most of the day with no complaints. She finally took a short nap towards the end of the day. She seemed to have liked watching everything that was going on around. Tons of people and the weather was not too bad. The things I will remember from this day are, lots of walking, lots of bathroom breaks, Nathan hating the roller coaster ride in the end after talking about going on it forever, kids getting a kick out of the sea lion show, and just having a good day with my family..........happy kids...happy Mom, and Dad too!

Oh Nathan!.....

I can only imagine the time I will dread when the phone will ring off the hook from all the girls wanting to talk to this cutie.....

Big Boy Ridin'......

One evening Jess and I took a walk with the kiddos and Jess decided to take the training wheels off of Jake's bike. I thought that he might not be ready for this.......he's only 3.....a BIG 3, but still! Anyways, Jake was excited but hesitant at first. Jess did a lot of running behind while holding on to the back of his shirt. As soon as Jess would let go.......down (or crash) Jake would go. Jake got frustrated and wanted to call it quits, but Jess didn't let him give up and kept pushing. After a while he finally got it with only a little help in the beginning. Now he is pedaling like a little mad man! A few crashes still, but he doesn't seem to get upset about it. Wow...my Big 3 year old is riding a bike! What will come next?....."Look Ma, no hands!"

Reunion.....

The wonderful world of Facebook has brought me together with some girlfriends I had back in 9th grade when I moved to Folsom for a year. I decided to get a reunion together and I'm so glad I did! It was wonderful to see the girls again and to catch up after all these years. We will try to do more of these great reunions more often.............awww, friends.......how great it is to have them :)

Watch'a Readin'?...........

Started another James Patterson book. I finished "My Sisters Keeper" and it was a very good, but very SAD. I won't give anything away....just read it! I can't wait to see the movie, although i heard that the movie ending is different from the book....Hmm, makes me wonder how they changed it. Anyway, here is an overview from the current book I'm reading....

SWIMSUIT~IT'S TO DIE FOR

THE BEACH...A breathtakingly beautiful supermodel disappears from a swimsuit photo shoot at the most glamorous hotel in Hawaii. Only hours after she goes missing, Kim McDaniels's parents receive a terrifying phone call. Fearing the worst, they board the first flight to Maui and begin the hunt for their daughter.
...WILL NEVER BE...Ex-cop Ben Hawkins, now a reporter for the L.A. Times, gets the McDaniels assignment. The ineptitude of the local police force defies belief—Ben has to start his own investigation for Kim McDaniels to have a prayer. And for Ben to have the story of his life.
...THE SAME FOR YOU AGAIN.All the while, the killer sets the stage for his next production. His audience expects the best—and they won't be disappointed. Swimsuit is a heart-pounding story of fear and desire, transporting you to a place where beauty and murder collide and unspeakable horrors are hidden within paradise.

Another "funny" from Jake........

On the way back home from Sac, Jess was following me in his truck with Jake. There was a fire with trucks in the field just off to the side of the freeway. We drove through some smoke and my older boys were excited to see some action. Then I get a call on my cell from Jess telling me how Jake reacted.......Jake~ "Dad it smells like they need BBQ sauce." Jess~"Who?" Jake~ "The firemen, because they are cooking the cows!" Hahahahaha!!! Where does he come up with this stuff?!
