Whatcha Readin'.............

Started reading this book and so far, so good. I just saw the first trailer for the movie coming out this summer! Can't wait to finish reading it and see the movie :-)

A Short Synopsis
Anna is not sick, but she might as well be. By age thirteen, she has undergone countless surgeries, transfusions, and shots so that her older sister, Kate, can somehow fight the leukemia that has plagued her since childhood. The product of preimplantation genetic diagnosis, Anna was conceived as a bone marrow match for Kate - a life and a role that she has never questioned… until now. Like most teenagers, Anna is beginning to question who she truly is. But unlike most teenagers, she has always been defined in terms of her sister - and so Anna makes a decision that for most would be unthinkable… a decision that will tear her family apart and have perhaps fatal consequences for the sister she loves. My Sister's Keeper examines what it means to be a good parent, a good sister, a good person. Is it morally correct to do whatever it takes to save a child's life… even if that means infringing upon the rights of another? Is it worth trying to discover who you really are, if that quest makes you like yourself less?

Weekend Fun.......

My weekend started on Friday......I had a very good friend over for the day and we relaxed, ate, and talked about this and that. Then my mother in law came to pick up the boys and take them home with her until Sunday, (Yippe!!!)
On Saturday, it was Jess and I 11th wedding anniversary. We woke up whenever, I made a yummy breakfast and then we went out shopping. Yup.......SHOPPING!!! (what a great husband I have!) Had lunch at Erik's Deli and then went home. Kady had been a trooper all day and didn't give us much fuss. We thought about going out to dinner, but we were both tired from the day and I ended up making us PB&J's. Nothing is more romantic then to share PB&J's with your honey on your anniversary :-)
Sunday we had Jess' family over for a Mother's Day BBQ. Food, desserts, family, cards and gifts....oh what fun! I got furniture for my living room from my kids, (Jess included!) I love it and it goes well with the rest of our stuff. I got a chair and two 2 seater couches that are made of Indian teak wood. I browsed Craigslist one day, (gotta love that site), and saw them for a steal of a deal! And I can't forget the lovely homemade gifts from my two older boys that they made in school. Jess helped with dinner and he and his dad cleaned up afterwards. Overall it was a wonderful Mother's Day!

What are You Reading?.........

I am thoroughly enjoying this book right now! I am surprised because it is a romance and I used to think, "blech & Ewww" to romance novels. This one is not too sappy and doesn't have smut in every chapter, (only a couple...hehehe). Here is a summery:

Whitney, My Love
Under the dark, languorous eyes of Clayton Westmoreland, the Duke of Claymore, Whitney Stone grew from a saucy hoyden into a ravishingly sensual woman. Fresh from her triumphs in Paris society, she returned to England to win the heart of Paul, her childhood love...only to be bargained away by her bankrupt father to the handsome, arrogant Duke. Outraged, she defies her new lord.
But even as his smoldering passion seduces her into a gathering storm of desire, Whitney cannot, will not, relinquish her dream of perfect love.
